I Won! So now I HAVE to go with *BluRay*

So I just got a phone call that I won the Disney BluRay Disc collection!

Its over 3 dozen Disney Classics and Motion pictures worth over $1200.
So it looks like the baby got a nice gift for the holidays!

And while I've been sitting back and waiting for the Blue Ray-HDDVD epic to play out, looks like we'll be leaning toward BluRay for the time being.
And I, I took the path less traveled by
and that has made all the difference......yet...
I have a feeling a handle of people are going to be very interested in what I post in the near future.

Congrats. I've been considering getting a PlayStation 3 just because it's the cheapest BluRay player on the market. There are some major movies coming out exclusively on BluRay which might give it an advantage. However, I saw Wal-Mart selling a Toshiba HD-DVD player for $99! That might be the tipping point. LG just released the first dual format player, but it's about $1,000.

Congrats on the winning! I'm trying to decide which one to buy. I still have a first generation DVD player the Toshiba SD-3007, its a fantastic machine and up to now I've had no reason to replace it, so I to will sit back and wait.

It does seem like Blu-Ray's winning. Unfortunately, I bought 'One-Six Right' on HD-DVD and just so happened to find a deal on an HD-DVD player for $180 so it's currently HD-DVD for me.

Actually, Moose, what's REALLY scary is that MOST of the people here are too young to even know what that means without wikipedia !

No, what's really scary is how old you've gotten to remember Beta, Mario. ;)

The Best Buy by Firestone was selling their old display models of the first-gen Blu-Ray players for $250 last time I was out there...you might want to call and see if they still have any. I would have bought one if I had a ride home :)
