Apparently it is a Skunk Works project designed as a heavy transport. First flight was in the summer of 2006 at Palmdale, Ca.

little unsteady on the landing there. where are they testing this, KEDW? pretty cool IMO for something that tops out at 30kts!
i really wonder if this thing will be calapble of the published top speed of 100kts.
it is mathematically impossible for either hummingbirds, or helicopters to fly. fortunately, neither are aware of this.
