Kalitta Air landing gear "incident" around 3pm at JFK Nov 04

    Kalitta Air

Never saw anything like this happen in seven years that i live here...
I checked the flight status it said it was going to Boston *CORRECTION* NOT BOSTON, but EWR which would make it a Newark International Airport *CORRECTION*. So i'm wondering if anyone else knows anything about this. Initially i was thinking that this is some sort of a landing gear problem and the plane would be returned to JFK.

    P.S. few hours later:
    - just checked the flight status of it and here is what we have, it took off from JFK, then landed at EWR 27 minutes later.

ok so perhaps then it was no bid deal, :) :) but i still didnt think that a Cargo Boeing 747 would make such short trips!?!

Russ, where do you live? Long Beach? I live out there as well. By that time I would have already been at work already.

Probably a ferry flight. They move them between JFK and EWR from time to time for various reasons.
Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. We have a small problem.
All four engines have stopped. We are doing our damnedest to get them under control.
I trust you are not in too much distress. —Captain Eric Moody, British Airways Flight 9

no need to pick up the gear on that one. by the time you've got them all up you're on short final...
it is mathematically impossible for either hummingbirds, or helicopters to fly. fortunately, neither are aware of this.
