    Nov 3 - PHL?

I have come to realize the following:

    1) The weather forecast for NYC for tomorrow is turning to complete ****.
    2) Tomorrow is my last chance to spot until at least the second week of December, and I'd really like to play with my new camera.
    3) The weather forecast for PHL is quite nice, if a bit windy.
    4) I've never spotted at PHL, and I've wanted to for awhile (my last attempt got thwarted by light rain, mist).

My solo plan is to take the train down to Philly and rent a car there, but if anyone with a car is interested in driving down from NYC, I'll pay for gas. Reply here or PM me to work out details.

(Is making last-minute plans to travel 100 miles to take pictures of airplanes a sign of addiction?)

I'm flying down to PHL from Sky Manor tomorrow, mid-morning. If you see a 152, take a pic! :)

Adam, go to the PHL Spotters website ( http://www.phlairline.com/ ) and email Paul.
I was going to go there a few weeks ago, and he said the TSA has been shoo-ing people away from Hog Island Rd. lately. You could get lucky and spot there all day, or you could get there and be asked to leave in 20 mins. Hate to see you go all the way down there for nothing, hopefully things have changed in the last few weeks.

    Re: Nov 3 - PHL?

So, I read the message board on phlairline.com, and I didn't like what I read at all. The polite NCPD cops we encounter at Firestone, I can handle, but it sounds like they've got quite a situation with the Philly police. So this sounds like a no-go.

But, on the other hand, the weather is looking better in NYC tomorrow...not great, but not raining in the afternoon...so I guess I'm staying local :)

Parking is fine as the memo the Capt sent out has been rescinded. It's ok to park until they get the signs up. So you are fine if you change your mind.

I spent 2 1/2 hours on Saturday at PHL - didn't see a single cop. Didn't see any 152s, either!

No worries, we wound up arriving at about 0715. I take it you weren't down there that early. :P

    Thanks for the thought, though.
