Has anyone been to Nellis for their annual airshow?
Any comments about it?

since i didn't make it to RNO this year, LSV is definately an option. need to talk about it with a freind.
it is mathematically impossible for either hummingbirds, or helicopters to fly. fortunately, neither are aware of this.
I had the best time. It was 6 days - 2 days at airshow and rest at LAS.
Only thing sun is best in afternoon so morning flying display is pretty much into the sun. (static a/c is workable)
Bonus is LAS visit...

I like the ATA climb out shot.
Just out of curiosity I noticed that this show, like many other has a media day.
For those media people that go there on Friday, are they given a different area/perspective than the general public?
Or is the only different the lacking of the general public?

Not so sure on media day events, however crowds are pretty large at the show (100,000+). And I forgot to mention, Nellis base 'buses' people from 3 large parking lots to the airside for the show. We arrived at 6am and left late at 8pm.

What do you think about the line, worth attending?
I heard it wasn't as extensive as last year's show.

The lines were not so bad going in, as we left 5:30 am from hotel. We were one of the first in the buses too. And in the morning it was worth getting out early on the airside as the crowds are very thin and we could shoot the static display. However leaving was a long wait and traffic jam. Got to hotel by 10:30.
Raj, those are some of the best Thunderbirds photos I've seen. Excellent work.

Whoops, I made a typo.
I ment the line up for the show.
Not the actual lines.
Sorry about that.
