    I heard the TU-95 is one of the loudest airplanes. Even submarines can detect them.

    Reminds me of the good, old days, pulling alert, waiting for the horn to go off. In our daily briefings, they would tell us about Soviet airliners scheduled to fly into or near the US, and of any Soviet satellites that would be passing overhead. I always wanted to get the whole alert force out on the back deck and moon the satellite, but I could never get anyone to go along with that idea :D
