One of the PanAm 722's is headed for AVP!

I'm going to try to get this one and the USA Jet DC-9, which will also be there.
They're all here for the NASCAR Race at Pocono Speedway on Sunday.

I'm a little disappointed with my shots of PanAm - with camera shake, heat haze, and backlighting working against me.
I did get some good shots of a few of the business jets at AVP that are in town for the race. PanAm was no where to be seen - they must have had it hidden at the gates.
There must be at least 50 parked on the GA ramp. I wasn't able to get many shots, because security was pretty tight - believe it or not, it was more secure for the racers than it was for Bush and for Cheney. But I will return before the race is over, when the novelty of the racing planes wears off, and the police tape comes down.
I missed USA Jet :x
I thought it had already arrived and disappeared behind the terminal, but as I was leaving it flew right overhead. Hopefully it'll still be there tomorrow.
Probably PanAm will return before Sunday to pick up the people it dropped off, I hope :D
Although they're far from good quality, I think that I did a pretty good job with PanAm, especially since that was my first moving airplane spotting experience. I have to practice so I'll be ready for Trump and LaGuardia someday. :D
Here are some quick edits:
PanAm 722:
N601FR (Anyone know who this belongs to?)
N138DE, Dale Earnhardt INC. This registration used to be on an EMB-120ER with the same paint.

N601FR belongs to Furniture Row Leasing LLC, in Colorado.
Email me anytime at [email protected].
Nice shots there, I like the second shot of the DEI E-145
Thanks! :D
I went back tonight and got some great shots.
My shot of USA Jet isn't too good, as it was parked in a bad spot, pretty much on the other side of the taxiway.
I caught a US Navy Sabreliner, which certainly made up for the USA Jet. I also got N71761, which is certainly something to see!
I'll have to get the DC-9-15 when it's departing either Sunday or Monday.

Looks like the Roush Premier is in the same paint as the old C525 was. The Premier will be plenty busy this weekend shuttling Carl Edwards back and forth between AVP and YHU (St. Hubert, QC), which is where the Busch race is on Saturday.
Nice shots, Chris! I missed these guys when they arrived on Thursday because I was playing "Driving Miss Daisy", but since you told me they were all parked out on the ramp, I ran down there Friday afternoon (probably around 5pm. Here are a few of my shots.
Greg Biffle's Falcon:
Dale Jarrett's Citation. He drove the 88 car for 10 years, he's now in the 44 this year, wonder if he'll change the reg?
Kevin Harvick's Lear, with the tail of the Sabreliner
Morgan-McClure Racing Citation
Not sure who was flying this, it's registered to E&M Aviation, in NC, so it must be race-related.
Registered to "Moe Air Inc", the tail number suggests it's related to Darrell Waltrip.
The Roush jet
A gaggle of King Airs. The front one, N507P, belongs to driver Clint Boyer. There are a couple of Robert Yates Racing tails (RYR) as well as a Childress one (RCR)
She may not be around long - Furniture Row sponsors Kenny Wallace's team, and he didn't make the race in Friday qualifying.Originally Posted by Phil D.

Great shots Moose! I'm glad you got a chance to get to the airport.
I'll be back there again today - Channel 16's news last night showed the Goodyear Blimp over the racetrack. I'm hoping it's at the airport, along with something military for the flyover.
Did you get any shots of the big jets on the cargo ramp next to the new terminal? There's a Citation, Hendrick's Saab 2000, the Earnhardt ERJ-145LU, and I think a Fokker down there, along with USA Jet in the distance.
N601FR did leave this morning, along with Rouch's Jet and N116GB.
Roush and Biffle's jets were probably on the way to Montreal for the Busch race. I got some nice shots of the blimp at the track today, but no military fly-by for the ARCA race :(
I saw the other jets over by the cargo ramp, but didn't know if it was OK to wander over to the fence in that area.

Roush is scheduled to return later tonight.Originally Posted by moose135
I think it's OK. I've got some shots over there today and yesterday. When Air Force Two was parked there last year, the Secret Service and Airport Security had no problem with me at the fence.
I tried again today to get a good shot of USA Jet, and I got a great shot, but it was ruined by heat blur!
Here's some shots from today:
Longranger:
Hendrick Saab 2000:
USN Sabreliner:
USA Jet  :

Here are a few from the track on Saturday.
Goodyear Blimp - N2A Spirit of Innovation
Lehigh Valley Hospital University MedEvac departing
They were flying the driver of this car to LVH (He was OK, got out of it under his own power, but they sent him for further evaluation)
Here is another University MedEvac chopper arriving, shortly after the first departed. I shot this one last year in the infield (http://www.jetphotos.net/viewphoto.php?id=5760182)

nice shots. i think the earnhardt racing embraers look very good in that scheme, especially the -145! kudos to them on a job well done with that airplane. wonder what the inside looks like...
it is mathematically impossible for either hummingbirds, or helicopters to fly. fortunately, neither are aware of this.
I got a nice surprise at AVP today!
I wonder who was on it?

I guess private jet flying is one of those habits of the european F1 'elite' that the NASCAR 'good ole boys' used to make fun of and now have embraced.
