Bayswater Park JFK 7/12 (mucho pics)

I headed out to Bayswater park yesterday to catch some 22R and 31 Departures and some 22L arrivals. I knew I would get back lit photos as Moose and Gordon told me so I tried my best. This park is really the only place for the 22s. I need help in the post processing in that I have no idea where to get started. So here are the pics. Enjoy:

    22R departures:

Kalitta 747 take off into the sunset:

    My LOT 767-300

BA 747 leaving VA in the dust?

I believe its an AA 757-200 taken from my family's car sunroof. And yes it was windy and I was crazy.

Some 22L landings and turns onto taxiway Zulu and holding short of 22R.

    And some summer airport pics:

Man I want to work there so bad soon.

By 11am its too high and too far to your left. Sunrise at that spot is awesome.

Looks like a lot of these pics should have been taken at St Charles park, would have yielded better results.

You got some nice catches there, Luke. First time I've seen a shot of AF7 taking off as well as the EL AL 767-300. Bayswaters pretty much sucks for 22 departures in the afternoon and the only really cool shots you could get from there are silhouette shots if the sun is right which I'm not sure if it ever is. In general your best bet on 22 afternoon departure days is to stay at the mounds until the light goes away because the light in the afternoon over there is pretty spectacular!

I sure do miss spotting at JFK in the summer and can not wait till I get back, I'll be there quiet a few times in August! I just have to make sure it's not a day when the tri-state area is expecting thunderstorms because I could end up missing my precious diversions to SWF...

That NA 757 was landing, right? I was the first one on that plane when it came into the gate minutes later.

    Cool stuff.

Side note: In the future, if a thread already exists for a day (like 7/12) please add your photos to that one instead of creating a new one.

Awesome shots there at Bayswater. Ive been starting to go there alot mostly when the planes depart from 13R in the afternoon or in the evenings.
