Came out to MacNeil park in Collage Point to catch some shots. Really nice park for taking photos.

The one with DL MD-88 and AA MD-80 crossing each other is really cool.
Wow, that Jazz CRJ had a quick turnaround time. Some nice shots there.
i was in the employee lot just as you were shooting those first few departure pix you posted. actually, i was standing there guessing the type before i turned around to see it.
i think you went there a little too late in the day. i've never been there, but it's definately a morning spot for 22 arrivals or 4 departures.
it is mathematically impossible for either hummingbirds, or helicopters to fly. fortunately, neither are aware of this.
Outstanding work. I quite like the MD-80 pair and the US NC 734 departure shots. I enjoy the fact that while I am working the spotters are out and around photographing our work at LGA. It is kind of cool. I always wonder to myself at work if someones out there shooting etc etc... and such.

Nice pictures! That looks like a great spot!
Couple of questions:
What lens/camera combination were you using?
Have you cropped those photos, or are they the original framing?
I don't get to NYC too often, but I'm curious whether my setup Dreb/70-200/1.4TC would work for that location.
Thanks for posting!

Greetings,
Nice shots. I know the site well. How long were you there?
BTW ... what camera/lens were you using?

Excellent! I'll take that to mean that shots that you posted have not been cropped. I'll have to put that park on my list of places that I'd like to spot from. Unfortunately, the list is getting long ...AirtrafficController

Like Matt C. said, that spot is best in the morning during the summer - you'll get the best light on planes and the skyline. Your framing is getting much better and the American 757 departure is where you want to be...just practice centering a bit more and you won't be chopping the tail off - you almost made it perfectly with that shot!
I also suggest now that you have a high-end camera, to study up on processing your photos. Post-processing is just as important as a darkroom and it will drastically improve the quality of a digital photo.
Good luck!
