    JFK Photo Review June 16th

I got bit to death at the mounds, found one tick on me, got sun burned, missed the Pakistan 777-300ER, waited hopefully for the ATA DC-10 and had my hopes up twice but ended up being Fed Ex DC-10s, I didn't get any decent departure shots, I sustained numerous delays, I missed some cool diversions to SWF that I probably could have gotten close to, and to top it off I got stopped by 3 cop cars while driving on the road because some sketchy limo guy called in on us but having three cop cars surround you and having everyone passing by you staring is quiet unpleasant.

So all in all... was my day at JFK today worth it?

    I'll let you decide:

    Tick! Goddam thats so scary...

As far as your day goes -- I feel anyone who is NOT you is in no place to judge! All I can hope is that you enjoyed doing something you love, watching airplanes, regardless of whatever unpleasantries you may have experienced (i.e. being questioned by police/ being under the scrutiny of car/limo/taxi drivers who feel the need to report any sightings of people with cameras around the airport, only to prove that by calling the police that they are infact not members of Al-Qaeda/ or having a hematophagic parasite attempt to make you it's host....lol) !!!

Some solid photos there Gordon, and a fantastic variety; you should be pleased! You must be happy about the outcome of the IB A346s (especially the 1st) huh? I'm glad to see you've caught the ever-so-sexy Finns and my beloved Icelandair! Seems like a nice day afterall, but that's just my opinion

    ciao ciao,

did you see LO006 or LO026? i've got to get my ass down there and get the polish side of that airplane already!
it is mathematically impossible for either hummingbirds, or helicopters to fly. fortunately, neither are aware of this.

Def a worthwhile day. You got the all white Delta RJ and Habitat. Nice stuff.

    WOW.
    Great shot of the AA777.
Where did you take the shot of the Southern Air?
I really gotta try to make it out to JFK soon to try out my new 18-200.

Thanks guys. I was actually quiet happy with some of the later pictures. I posted this thread at 3:30am so I was wee bit cranky.

The Southern Air shots were taken through a fence actually but I would not advise going to the spot that I took them from because it is essentially a suicidal spot with all the limo guys that park around there.

Well ticks you get lime disease... and cops you get a tick/summons.
    both definatly not cool.

BTW what was the active arrival runway for the day?
It looks like toward the end of your shots you were by the mounds??
