    Thunder over Michigan

Well, I know this is an NY forum, but a few questions that some of you may be able to answer.

    1. Is anyone going?
    2. Look at the aircraft lineup: Douglas DC-3 American Airlines"Flagship Detroit"... Does anyone know about this? This has got me really excited. I have never seen a DC-3, and it will be in the retro AA livery!!! Does anyone know anything about this bird?

Heres a picture of it: http://www.airliners.net/open.file/1141896/L/

EDIT: Found a bit of info on it, but if anyone has anymore that would be nice: This is the oldest DC-3 still flying. It was built in Santa Monica, CA and delivered to American on March 2, 1937. It was restored in 2004 by volunteers from American's maintenance bases.

Wow... I didn't really expect any of you to be there.

Let me know who all is going and you can join our group from detroitspotters.com in some pre-airshow spotting if you would like.

Holy Crap, I NEVER would have ever imagined that so many are still

some nice wide angle formation shots of that!!!! I WISH I COULD GO!

The three most common expressions in aviation are, "Why is it doing that?", "Where are we?" and "Oh Crap".
