I just seen on the news that a B6 jet from ROC was struck by lighting , any more information on this would be appreciated, I am guessing its an E-190?

US has an A-330 out of commision right now due to a lightning strike last night untill furthur notice and Air Wisky has a CRJ from last night missing a winglet at Harrisberg (MDT) right now due to a strike. MX is going to have that one out to PHL tomorrow. Attention Ed!!

Last year I was at the B6 MX hangar at JFK and saw one of their E jets with lighting damage, no pics of it allowed but the damage was covered with Duct tape. lol
Duct Tape fixes everything. Hell, a wing could be taped on with duct tape and I would fly on that plane.
"lol retart"
lighting usually strikes an airplane, "rides" down the fuselage and then moves down to the ground

I am sure it can be in use for any part of the plane right?

Duct Tape or Speed Tape?..... The coolest lightning strikes look like a series of bullet holes in the fuselage and you can see where the aluminum melted and it looks like little beads of solderOriginally Posted by T-Bird76

Last night during my GRU-EWR flight we passed by a bunch of lighting storms and sometimes we were right over them, next to them , or they were in the distance. I kept thinking we were going to get struck but I must say it is something extremely cool to see from the air!
Duct tape is like The Force. It has a light side, a dark side, and it holds the world together.Originally Posted by stuart schechter
