    Southwest Airlines @ Beirut (PIC)

    Hey Guys:

I noticed this picture that was taken about a little over a year ago :

    http://www.airliners.net/open.file/1030981/L/

I was however curious about one thing, Did WN let its pilots fly that plane there or was it flown by another group of pilots that were hired elseware?

I however guessing it was WN pilots since they flew it there but maybe others can prove me wrong?

The plane wasn't owned by WN at the time, it was sold to whoever bought it. God knows why they'd want a WN 732...those things were beat by the time they left WN's fleet.

They may be beat and have high cycles but WN has a great rep as far as MTC and preventive MTC is concerned.

I agree with Tommy on this one - as it was definatly time the -200s left WN's fleet.

As also some may see, some of the earlier -300s are starting to get pretty worn down too, AFAIK the first -300s will leave WN in 2008, but my buddy Alex can confirm that one.

I cannot confirm anything but I have been told N300 and N301 and so forth , basically the first -300 from Boeing for SWA will begin to leave the fleet and be "retired".

Don't neccesarily go in "order" of the registeration of the number to determine the retirement because same aircrafts while having an "older" regi is actually newer.

That is how the winglets for the -300 were determined, which I think we have 3 or 5 -300 with winglets if anyone is interested in looking for them.
