    US Helicopter Changes Landing Location

US Helicopter no longer lands at the AA termianl, but in between terminals 4 and 3....right there inthe alleyway, but moreso onthe Delta side.

Nice views of it from the AirTrain or T4 departure level.

I'm curious as to why they switched. I haven't heard anything.

AA needs the space supposedly and discontinued their alliance with USH completely. USH is now partnered with Delta. See here: http://www.nycaviation.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=6462

There was a thread on it a little while ago. Apparently, DL signed on with US Helicopter (not sure if AA dropped them completely or what).

The gate relocation had something to do with that, along with the fact that AA needed the gate that US Helicopters was using for one of it's 777...

Also got an email from Delta about it yesterday:
    Take the 'Copter to JFK

    Hello Mr. Molnar,

Your 4:00 p.m. meeting ran late, and now you're racing out the door — and into rush-hour traffic — to catch your flight. Not to fear! US Helicopter can get you there.

Through our agreement, US Helicopter will offer helicopter service to our Terminal 3 at John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) from two locations in Manhattan. Starting today, skip the stress and hop on one of US Helicopter's thirteen weekday roundtrips* from Downtown Manhattan Heliport at Wall Street (JRB) and Midtown East 34th Street Heliport (TSS).

Note: Average actual flight time is 8 min. or less.

Starting at $159**/one-way when booked at flyush.com, the eight-minute flight will spare you the 60- to 90-minute commute to JFK. (**Additional taxes/fees/restrictions apply. See below for details.)

And when traveling with us, you can get your boarding pass and check your bag to your final destination at the heliport since the service takes you to Gate 11 at Terminal 3.

Another major benefit of this door-to-door service? Once you're at JFK, you can go directly to your gate as there's no reason to go back through airport security thanks to TSA screening at the heliport. Then you're connected to our network of 184 daily departures to 76 worldwide destinations, including nonstop service to 32 international destinations.

Simply log on to http://www.flyush.com to book your seat. Then sit back, relax and enjoy the view.

*The service is available only on weekdays (excluding holidays).
