    Sensor and Mirror Dust

I just switched the lens on my camera, and I noticed some small specs of dust on the mirror. How can I check to see if these small particles are affecting my photos?

If they’re on the mirror they won't show on your pics. However if you have dust there you have dust on your sensor. This is what I do. I take a picture of a clear blue sky in F22 in manual focus set to infinity. I then take the picture in Photoshop and equalize it. Then I use a few choice words and proceed to blow the sensor with a blower.

Try this, it's inexpensive and it's the best thing in my camera bag (well, besides the camera). Giottos Q Ball w Tilting Nozzle CCD Sensor/lens cleaner. It can be had on eBay for about $15.
