    Fill 'Er Up!

    One of the neat things about flying at Grissom AFB was that we had the only 8 KC-135s equipped as receiver aircraft. They were one-time EC-135s which were "decommissioned" back to KC-standards, but the receiver gear was retained. I think their official designation was KC-135A/RT, but we unofficially referred to them as RT-135s. I got to do a little receiver refueling, and let me tell you, it's not as easy as it looks :D

    Sweet! Maybe one day I'll be on either of those ends!

    The 135 (and probably lead-in to the new tanker), KC-10 and the C-17 are looking more and more appealing (esp compared to a fighter) as time passes....
