Already a negative undertone after that thread title, but...

People in my building tend to leave things in the lobby that they think others might enjoy. This usually includes furniture and books.

This evening I saw a book sitting there which I feel is a hardcore feminist one.

In an effort to save potential victims in my building from the evil wrath of feminaziism, I took the book and it sits on my desk...and I have intentions of putting it out to recycle, ripping it in half or something along those lines.

Does this count as a form of censorship?

No. It does not.

No more so really than if you went into the lounge at work and changed the TV channel from a soap opera to a ball game.

That is not a perfect analogy of course.

You meant to prevent anyone else from reading something you find objectionable - that was placed in your lobby. (How Dare You!) :shock: but if that book can be found in some book store or library elsewhere, your behavior is not censorship.

I wonder though. I have not read the book itself, but it sounds like fairly light weight fare as far as radical feminism goes.
