There were a LOT of planes out there that jsut could not get to gates.
Ground equipment and aircraft sitting at gates were literally frozen to the ground.

Same thing at good ole LGA. We had about 12 planes on the ramp takeing up Zulu Alpha last night waiting for stands and when I left a furthur 8 or so on Alpha just hopeing to get a spot to freeze on the ramp.
Southwest Airlines-"Once it pop's it's time to stop" Southwest Airlines-"Our Shamu's are almost real" Southwest Airlines -"We blow our top real easy" Southwest Airlines- "You can't top us..... really"
Yeah, almost every gate at every terminal at JFK was full. I saw aircraft parked at angles at hardstnads so two could fit in as well.
The ramp was rough.....three inches of cie with three inches of snow cone ice on top.

and that has made all the difference......yet...
I have a feeling a handle of people are going to be very interested in what I post in the near future.
