I finally got my Photoshop computer back up and running, and I'm clearing through some of the backlog of photos in need of processing. I've finished up all my spotting photos, taken between JFK & LGA on Feb. 19 and Feb. 24:
JFK, 2/19
I initially headed down to HoBe for a bit, but with all the ice and snow still on the ground I was basically stuck in the parking lot, and most of the planes were banking too early:
I headed over to LGA in the middle, but before I called it a day I went back to JFK, this time Costco/Firestone.
LGA, 2/19
After leaving JFK, I jetted up the Van Wyck to catch LGA Rwy. 31 arrivals.
JFK, 2/24
I was heading back out to LI for something this day, so I decided to head out earlier and do some spotting. I started off at Costco:
After the FedEx, things seemed to die out, so I headed up to LGA intent on getting some EV bank shots.
LGA, 2/24
I started off at the same spot as 2/19 (GCP bridge) but this time walked all the way down the marina, hoping to get some bank shots (I did, but my 300mm lens doesn't have enough reach for most of them to be any good).
I took that last one in shutter priority, to get some prop blur, and the camera set the aperture down to about f/22, which really brought out a lot of dust that generally can't be seen in the other shots (at f/8-f/11). I also took a many-shot burst and, of the six (I think) photos, only two came out not-blurry.
Hopefully you've enjoyed these, and I hope to (finally) do some spotting with some of you instead of on my own soon!
