    JFK 1/28 Review

Wasn't quiet sure if I was going to head out to JFK this morning but I did. The weather started good then went to crappy but it was not that cold.

Got the regular visitors today plus Habitat For Humanity and Pink Delta and I stuck around to see Qantas arrive around 5:12.

It was good to see Matt Sokol again as well as Tommy and Phil and it was great to meet Josh May.
Head a run in with Nassau County Police and they checked id and everything and then left. The parking lot of Firestone has a police sub station so they where in and out all afternoon without saying anything to us.

Before I headed out to Firestone I stopped at Burger King and caught Cathay, British, and Aeromexico but this guy in a red pickup was giving me a nasty stair from the drivethrough window so I walked up to him and told him exactly what I was doing and why I was doing it and told him not to worry. His respone was what ever turns you on.

All shots were taken with my dad's D200 with my 80-400mm lens since my D100 is suffering from a large amount of dust spots.

Here are the results, hope to see some from Tommy and Matt. Not sure if Josh took any shots since he only gets the heavies.

Hahaha no Gordon, I didn't end up taking any shots today...only just a few of my BELOVED Finnair! :P

The weather was too gross today to take pics, atleast in my opinion. I didn't even expect to go spotting either. Tommy was kind enough to show me around Long Island so I could take some shots for an assignment....and as it was becoming a tiny bit sunny we decided to head over to JFK. Just our luck, as soon as we got there it started to grow cloudy and stayed like that for the rest of the day. Regardless, it was totally fun to watch some cool planes and to meet you too Gordon!

I'm also looking forward to seeing some pics from our day of absolutely STUNNING weather

Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. We have a small problem.
All four engines have stopped. We are doing our damnedest to get them under control.
I trust you are not in too much distress. —Captain Eric Moody, British Airways Flight 9

when do the argentine 747-200s arrive? are they daily?
The beehive hummm of the JT9D and GE CF680C2,the thunder of the JT8D-17,the rumble of the PW1830 and the high ,thin whine of the PW 545A are all music to my ears!

The ARG 747-200s have been coming in daily again. It about that time of year.

GOTHAMspotter...What kind of plane is that NWA color in! I hav never seen a plane like that before. Low wing aircrfat with 4 engines on the lest and e on the right wing? WOW!
