Greetings from Florida USAF E4-B pix

    Greetings from Florida,
I am almost set up down here and haven't been to the local airports yet. I will be down here for the next 3-4 months at the Delta Connection Academy working on a few more ratings. I did stop off at (COF) Patrick AFB the other day to get some stuff for my place here and spotted a E-4B on the ramp doing run-up tests. I will post more shots from the area when I get out. I haven't had time yet with setting everything up.

Nice shots, Senga. I used to see her semi-regularly at Grissom back in the "good old days". Probably once a month we had an E-4B drop in and pull alert for a few days depending on where POTUS was. Back then, they didn't have the VC-25 for Air Force 1, and the E-4B would be used as an airborne command post in the event of "unmentionable" events

it is mathematically impossible for either hummingbirds, or helicopters to fly. fortunately, neither are aware of this.

If Washington were to be destroyed tomorrow (and everything else) :) these are the planes that would send and recive military commands to and from the battle field.

Give me a shout if you head any further south in Florida Senga - I can certainly show you some of the area around PBI.

    Hi Matt,
I will be working on my Multi-Engine. I will decide what to do after I get it.
I already hold the Instrument and Commercial.

These pics seal it...the E4-B (in that paint scheme) is officially my favorite 747.

I went to A.net to look at other pics of this particular bird. There's actually a pic of it at JFK from 1977. Oddly, it looks like someone cloned out the top of the fuselage where the big hump should be.

Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. We have a small problem.
All four engines have stopped. We are doing our damnedest to get them under control.
I trust you are not in too much distress. —Captain Eric Moody, British Airways Flight 9
