Funny ATIS at JFK today (WAV) file

When you texted me I couldn't figure out what could be so special about an ATIS update, I couldn't believe my ears! I wonder if anyone got in trouble for that? I'll say one thing about JFK tower this afternoon this one controller who was on for a good portion of the time was having some fun with the pilots. You could tell many of the pilots really enjoyed it, they were getting into it.

When I was in Chicago one time one of the controllers had his 4-5 year old daughter give the ATIS!- (with updates)...it was really cute LOL.
Silicone Sam is sure amazing..

Today it said..
"ILS Three One Right is out of service....I say again, ILS Three One Right is OUT......OF.....SERVICE"
and
"Question of the day.....Pluto......Planet or not?....You Make the Call"

LOL

I guess they do have a sense of humor.

yeah i was cracking up when we heard it. I could hear the controllers in the backround cracking up. I wonder if pilots were chiming with comments

I listend to it times when I called ATIS. For some reason I could hear the pilots on another phone channel laughing and stuff.

Hi Senga,

I downloaded the file, but it doesn't play for me both in WMP and iTunes. I even had a friend download it and tell me that it doesn't work.

Could you send it via e-mail or re-upload it? I'd really appreciate it.

I was able to download it and play it with no problem on 2 other systems and play it here at the house.

It seems some people can play it while others can't. If you can't PM me and I'll email it. Thats probably the best way to do it.

I used WMP and Windows Sound Recorder for it.

The audio sounded low to me, but it could be that the computer I'm typing this on is a piece of crap! If you guys agree it's too low, let me know and I'll try to fix it.
