    Jaggie tutorial

AirbusA350XWB wanted help with removing jaggies so I made him a short tutorial.

After a few basic editing things to get the photo up to sharpening level, here is our test image:

    (Image copyright to G-BOAD)

Next, sharpen until you see jaggies via USM:

Here is our image (Over sharpened to better show tutorial):

    Create Duplicate layer:

sharpen to desired level via duplicate layer:

With duplicate layer selected, choose eraser tool

    ---------------------

To show the effects of the eraser tool, we are going to erase sharpness on the sky (Shown here as grain from over sharpening)

    This is our start image:

After erasing, this is what it looks like (Shown with red line circling erased part)

-the circled part is what was in the image right before the duplicate layer was created.

Now to show the effects of it on an aircraft:

    Before:

    After:

    -------

That is basically all there is to removing jaggies, other people have steps they take but I find those more complicated and un-needed (I.e. lowering the size of the picture in increments)
    nwa FOREVER!
