Well weather is going to suck and if it was nice 13:30 for 4 arrivals is going to be back-lit to death. Best bet for LGA in the afternoon is when they are on 31. You can go to the World's Fair Marina. If the weather does improve for Sat your better off going to JFK if 31 isn't in use at LGA at that time. Just an FYI 4 arrivals are generally good for early morning up to 11:30.....and that's pushing it a bit. Sunday looks great though. Good luck!

thanks for the tip. i might try the left side of the runway, like here: http://myaviation.net/search/photo_sear ... d=00734968

thanks for your tips, and i think that if i go i will most likely spend 1/2 an hour at LGA and the some more at JFk

You would probably be better off leaving the camera home. It's not going to be pretty.

well, after talking with Mr. Phil Derner about my idea to go spotting to see EK205 at 5:30 i realized it would be to dark and it is a stupid i dad. so i asked my dad if would could leave right then, and we left. they were landing on 31R so i stopped at the costco, right after you enter to make a right and park on the water front. it is a nice spot, you see planes clearly and there are now power lines to block you. also it was a good spot because the sun was behind us. the sud was going in and out of clods, so some of the shots were to dark or to bright (overexposed). also the wind was hell, and hard to keep the camera steady. alot of the shots you can find chipped stabilizers, wingtips, nose tips, etc. this first shot show where we were in reference to the airport and approach. the there are the best (unedited):

the fist is a Eurofly A330 with the football team.

Here is the Emirates: it is too dark but i like the "rider on the storm" effect.

You were apparently there the same time Eric and I were at JFK, same spot to. I got out a few times to, to see if anyone else was around, where were you hiding? lol To bad we didn't see each other.

Right over there to, lol We had two cars a White Infiniti and a green Chevy. Both Eric and I stayed in the car because of the wind, did you stay outside the entire time? To bad if we saw you, you could have sought shelter with us, it was just way to cold and windy to stay outside.

Love the shots Matt! Wish I was out, I never seem to be at JFK when 31R is in use anymore.

Great edit Gordon! if they were larger i would send to to JP.
@T-Bird. i sat in the car but only got out when the planes came. this is strange that we did not see each other, because i looked around for other spotters, but did not find.
