Spotting Review from CLT - GSO - RDU

Ok, I'm bored as hell so I'm gonna post my logs and few pictures from last weekend's escapade to North Carolina's airports. I drove 6 hours to CLT to get that damned PSA CRJ-700 in Star Alliance colors. Two hours from CLT I've got phone call from Blendi saying that he just took picture of it at IAD landing!!!!!!! That gave me enough time to get to CLT and take picture of her during departure. I had only one hour of sun and I nailed her 10 minutes before sunset.

Next day I left CLT to stop at GSO where I got restricted ramp access :)
World MD-11 is being painted as I write this. So expect new colors shortly.

From GSO I drove to RDU to check what was going on there. Not much, and I took only one picture at RDU :)

    Enjoy :)

tipek, not to rain on your parade but allegheny is dead. even if the type certificate says allegheny on it the airplane is still operated by piedmont crews under the piedmont callsign.
it is mathematically impossible for either hummingbirds, or helicopters to fly. fortunately, neither are aware of this.

Unfortunately I don’t have opportunity to check pilots wallets to determine which airline they are from  In my books it says that those airplanes are from Alleghany.
