    eyebrowless WN 733!!!!!!!!!!

    in this jetphotos.net picture - it shows here a WN 733 with no "eyebrows" and from what i know the 733's all came with the "eyebrow feature"

    and all other photos on that site show ship 343 with eyebrows ??

    They stopped making them like that about a year ago, if I recall correctly.

    No what happened is this particular 733 went into shop, and the windows up on the top were replaced and covered the blue plates similair to the color scheme on the plane.

    the first plane for the 737 to not have eyebrowless is N201LV.

    N635SW also seems to have an eyebrowless window too.

    And they stopped making 300 series about 10 years ago, LOL. Sorry Phil had to take the shot. lol

    There is a retrofit available from Boeing .. It bascially eliminates the need for periodic maintenance that a window would otherwise require and most of all saves some weight when fuel costs are what they are .

    SEATTLE, Jan. 26, 2005 -- Boeing [NYSE:BA] this week rolled out its first 737 without eyebrow windows, the four small windows above the front windshield. In the past the eyebrow windows helped provide better crew visibility, but today's advanced navigation systems have made those windows obsolete. The design change reduces airplane weight by 20 pounds and eliminates approximately 300 hours of periodic inspections per airplane. Retrofit kits to cover eyebrow windows will be available mid-2006 for the in-service 737 fleet.
