Here is this year's Poppy Queen (the young one), Fred (the College Point Board of Trade Chair), and this year's Miss USO.



Here is Councilman Tony Avella and a veteran from a past war. From the looks of it, I'd say he was fought the Spanish Armada.



Mayor Bloomberg, who had his typical grump face until he saw Miss USO. He then lost his smile quickly when he noticed that she towered a slid foot over him.

I'm pretty sure that's Bloomberg's girlfriend, Diana Taylor, the state banking commissioner. Undoubtedly in attendance to make sure Miss USO keeps off of the mayor's $5 billion d--k.
