Northwest Loses $1.3 Billion and Pilots Picket

It hasn't looked any worse for Northwest, I don't think.

Losing $1.3 billion in fourth quarter:

    Pilots picket; Strike results due:

I'm gonna go to CoinStar and maybe I can buy one of their DC-9s once they liquidate.

The interesting story here is that NWA's pilots have failed to reach an agreement on pay cuts at NWA and now its up to the judge to throw out their contracts and allow NWA to impose paycuts which if they do the pilots said they will strike. Any job action by the pilots will certainly result in NWA going under. Delta pilots also failed to come to an agreement on cuts.

    Ron...it's Mel under Phil's name.

    Go to: http://www.coinstar.com for details.

    -OR-

If you're too lazy to do that, here's a blurb:

Just pour in your jar of mixed coins and watch them add up. The Coinstar Center accurately counts up to 600 coins per minute, saving you the time and effort of sorting, rolling and taking them to the bank. When you cash in, you'll get a voucher to redeem for cash at the store checkout or apply to your purchases. Check your voucher for special promotions or sweepstakes that Coinstar may be offering. In the U.S., the fee for our coin counting service is 8.9 cents per dollar counted (9.8 cents Canada).

You can skip the coin-counting fee when you turn your coins into a prepaid gift card. So cash in and go splurge.

It's great fun! Phil and I make a date of it. I highly recommend taking your loved one for a spin on it! ;)
