    Find the Registration

I know some of you guys like a good challenge, and I am lazy and stupid.

Here is a photo that I took in LA. It was taken on October 8, 2005, and the EXIF data says that is was taken at 9:8pm, or 6:18pm Los Angeles time.

It's an A340 (not sure what version) landing on rwy 24R.

Can anyone use the photo and the information I provided to find the registration?

Email me anytime at [email protected].

Well, Phil asked for my help in this.

I spent time searching and searching on airliners.net. Then I saw Eric's photo...

    http://www.airliners.net/open.file/971682/L/

I asked Phil if Eric was with him at the time, he said yes along with Tommy. So I immediatly put two and two together, and since the aircraft was the same, and the setting was the same. Plus VS is the only airline to to fly the A343 into LAX at around 6:15pm. So if Eric can post his time frame for that photo and confirm its around the same time, I am willing to bet it is...

    Virgin Atlantic, A340-300 G-VSUN

It looks to me like it's a Virgin Atlantic A340-300. Possibly G-VSUN?

Eric Dunetz took a photo of G-VSUN arriving at LAX at what looks like the same light conditions as your photo. The photo was also taken on October 8th.

EDIT: I guess Alex-T beet me to is  sorry about that.

I checked Virgin Flyer first but they did not have October 8th on the calender of where Virgin aircraft had been up to three months ago. Then I saw Eric Dunetz photo and figured that you guys might have been photographing together in the same area on the LAX trip.
