    The President's Speach

So I have to say I was impressed with the President's speech, I think it was to the point and very candid. He took responsibility for the mistakes he made but made a good case for our continued involvement in Iraq. I do agree that if we weren't over in the Mid East we would be more prone to attacks here and in Western Europe.

While the terrorists aren't fighting a conventional war they still have to follow some basic strategies of conventional warfare when if comes to battle fronts. Every group has limited resources they must decide where to utilize those resources. Our Armed forces are keeping those resources tired up in Iraq. Better to take the battle to them rather then fighting it here in our country.

I was pleased with the speech and hope that a message was sent that we are committed to Iraq and we're not going to run from this threat.

It was the speech he should have made 2 years ago.
Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. We have a small problem.

Two years ago, it was a totally different story, we did not fully understand the problems of what was going on in Iraq.

Besides, the speech was pretty much his standard speech, we will not leave Iraq until Iraq can take care of themselves, difference is the press has only been showing the negative side of Iraq. Along with the recent voting success & the President giving the speeches, people are learning just what is going on in Iraq.

The President took responsibility for the supposed faulty iintelligence in Iraq, but then again, most of the world thought that Iraq had WMD's....

Anyway, the speech was pretty good & given in such a way, that it will be hard to be critical of it......

I really liked his speech, although I think he could have delivered it with a little more enthusiasm. Thus, I guess the person who really deserves the credit is his speechwriter. :) In my opinion, this was one of the best speeches he has delivered.

it is mathematically impossible for either hummingbirds, or helicopters to fly. fortunately, neither are aware of this.
