    JFK 10/10/2011

Got out today for what turned out to be a mistake... Arik Air A345 was listed being late (1:00pm arrival) but it ended up being somewhat on time (5:30am I believe) oh well...

I am seriously Pixel Starved ever since I sold my crop camera ... the full frame sensor in places like Howard Beach and North Woodmere Park is just poor at 12MP

Got this guy early in the morning (almost missed it) as I drove by at 60MPH to see what may be parked by cargo and Triple Hangars. She was parked next to the now gone TWA hangar

Pardon the poor quality as these were spots in the center of the frame.

Finally caught a KLM Asia in decent light at a reasonable distance

..and the sun would finally succumb to the clouds...

Thanks Eric ... It's ok, it turned out to be a kind of dull day except for the first shot and the last shot LOL. The business bus and the World Cargo for me where the best captures. The rest were, so so... KLM Asia was nice to grab finally in good light. Now I just want it wheels up LOL.

I forgot my little buddy from North Woodmere. It guarded my position the entire time I was there... not sure why. About an hour and a half worth...

Great stuff Mr. Manny! That special visitor sitting by the old TWA maintenance hanger came in Saturday night and has been sitting there a couple of days. I briefly stepped out this afternoon to catch the Korean A380 from HoBe. I was able to catch the Eva Air Cargo departing as well. Will upload photo's tomorrow (since I'm all processed out and a tad under the weather as well). I hope it's not a spotting sickness that is going around.

Thanks guys... that's now three spotters under the weather.

Eva left under light? nice, would have been cool to see departing. Still only have the MD-11 coming in. I think Eric and I caught the MD-11 departing LAX.

Kaz, you've been MIA (no not [to] MIA)

Good stuff Manny. I hope that Eva Cargo MD-11 makes an appearance the next time I do. I've been dying to get a shot of her.

The Swan! Well it kept me busy since departures were slow. I got to see how they swim... Very cool. They kick one leg, and hold it behind them for about 2 or 3 seconds and coast, then they kick the other leg the same way. When taking off, they actually kick and paddle like mad under the water to get some push while the wings go mad and slap the water quite a lot!

All, thanks for the comments I have not been posting much because it takes me about 1:30hrs to get home and by that time, the locals have covered it pretty well lol

Here are a few from my brief outting. I was on a mission just to catch the Korean A380 departing off RWY 31L.
