Braved the elements and headed to the beach this morning for Round 1 of the QuikSilver Pro NY.
You would think there's a enough beach for everyone, but I saw several photographers arguing about photo position.
A few days ago I didn't know who any of these guys where, this guy Kelly Slater is the number 1 surfer in the world.

This guy, A local from Pt Lookout, NY a crowd favorite.
It's hard to take chances but sometimes it's better if you do

awesome work Eric! I've never been into surfing, but I kind of always would have thought they'd need bigger waves to have a competition.

Life time Long Beach surfer, the waves have been **** the last week or so since after the storm, Thurs and Friday we are going to see some good swell... Overhead all the way (10-12 feet) so its going to get reaaaaallly fun soon. Summer is not the time to surf Long Beach. Come see town in December through March... Thats when it gets real fun.
