You just didn't get up early enough. If your out of your room at sunrise you have a chance at a Qantas 747
It's hard to take chances but sometimes it's better if you do

Holy Heat Haze Batman!! LAX is a Dangerous Place in the middle of the day... good luck with anything on the ground from Imperial Hill!

Notice the perfectly matching guy wires on the tower and the UniCon Tail Logo. Eric, eat your heart out

The weather was not great until late morning on the day of our departure :-( Fog and Clouds and "Marine Layer" lol... but there were still opportunities for correctable contrast

more heavy duty heat haze... this is a long shot anyway but I love this livery on this aircraft.

The sun had crossed but Imperial Hill is addictive!

Original is way OOF but I like that the little virgin was in the shot

Well, sleeping has its consequences as much as its benefits when it comes to spotting LOL. Like when in Anchorage in the summer with 20 hours+ of daylight!

The beehive hummm of the JT9D and GE CF680C2,the thunder of the JT8D-17,the rumble of the PW1830 and the high ,thin whine of the PW 545A are all music to my ears!
