    BWI - 5/15/2011 (Image heavy)

In Baltimore for a work related trip. Got a chance to do a little spotting at "Thomas A. Dixon Jr. Aircraft Observation Park" (also called Friendship Park). Great place for late afternoon if they're using 33L for arrivals. Additionally, I visited the "Observation Gallery" in the airport between concourse B and C at BWI (below is a view from the Observation Gallery. Lots of Southwest traffic with a few others in between.

Catch of the day was this ATI DC-8

Of course you would get a nice DC-8. Last time I was at Dixon they were departing over that spot(=useless photos) and it was an overcast day(=useless photos)

Excellent shots though, I have to make it back there

Don't worry, William. That ATI DC-8 is pretty much a daily visitor....you're bound to get it at some point, if you go back.

Throw in a DC-10 and that would be icing on the cake!

Nice set Mark! I have to make it back down there one of these days. BWI was the first airport I ever spotted at. My only issue with BWI is the lack of variety in traffic, but Friendship Park ranks right up there in the top 5 places for spotting.
