nice catch on the GTI (Giant) 747... that airplane just got out of the paintshop about a week or so ago.
it is mathematically impossible for either hummingbirds, or helicopters to fly. fortunately, neither are aware of this.

The Atlas one? it is a 742, not the 744 I was hoping for. So not 100% sure if it was the newly repainted one or not, megatop they have had them for a while now to replace the 732's when they were retired. Honestly unless you have an open seat next to you very uncomfortable to fly on for long flights.

    Thanks Jeremy!

Whats the best time of the year to go there? I don't want to freeze my a@@ off but would still like to see snow onthe mountains in the background of my shots.

Right now it is quite bearable up there. We had semi-sun most of the day and temps in the mid-high 40's, though a bit windy. Plus there is still snow on the mountains and daylight around at least as much as here in Seattle.

Also finished editting a few of my shots from this trip, with more to probably come.

I love that last shot Tad!

Thanks for the compliments everyone! It is a place that I would recommend everyone to visit at least once before you die, even in winter the scene up there is unbelievable.

Brandon, the location where Tad took the photo of you guys, is that an "approved" location? Or one that should not be discussed out in the forum? If I make it there before I die I know that is the location I want to be spotting from.

Honestly at ANC, there are no spots like that, everywhere is game. I have had police drive by and wave. Never once has one stopped. But that is a locals normal spot.
