I thought before that the pilots used no aid in turning for 13L but when I saw those landing lights, those are cool to see by that park next to the Belt parkway.
Nice landing and thanks for posting this video Spellman. I had the pleasure of filming a similar landing of this same approach back in the 90's from the jumpseat of a LH A340-300, it is one amazing approach. Night approaches to 4 and 31 at LGA often give passengers on the right side window seats a nice view of the unique "rabbit" curving approach lights for 13L at JFK when in use, I was just enjoying this Tuesday night on approach to 31 at LGA with an almost full moon making NYC especially beautiful from the air at night.
