I just saw this Cessna Citation land on 13L at JFK. It's registration is only "N2".

It's got the USAF colors still, but no longer has the United States of America titles.

Strangely, It turned off of the runway to the left, and parked back near the fire rescue training area, where it was met by a PA Fire ruck and a PA Police truck.

X-Files yo.

it's FAA owned and operated. the FAA has N numbers 1 through 99, callsign is "flightcheck."

This is the fleet of planes which usually does the VOR/NAV/ILS checks--they verify that the navaids are working properly.

As far as I know, N1 (G-IV), N2, and N3 (both C560XLs) are used for transport only - it's the Lears, King Airs, and Challengers that are set up for Flightcheck use. I've seen and heard the three above many, many times, and have never heard any of them using a Flightcheck callsign. The usual (including yesterday afternoon) is "Citation November 2." They use the callsign Safeair when the Administrator is onboard.
