For the sixth straight year, Greenwood Lake Airport will host their annual airshow this weekend. The show begins this Friday, August 15th and continues until Sunday August 17th. The airshow is located in West Milford New Jersey, about a one hour drive from New York City.

Over the past six years, Greenwood Lake has become known for its quality show line-up in an interactive setting as a result of the airports small geographic size.  While initially seen as a barrier, the spatial issues in conjunction with a consistent lineup of today’s top performers has made the event one of the best in the Northeast.

This year’s show welcomes return performances by Gary Ward, Greg Koontz, FLS Micro Jet as well as New Jerseys own Raiders Demo Team and Kevin Russo, flying aerobatics in his WWII era SNJ.

New to Greenwood Lake and headlining this year’s event will be Mike Wiskus of Lucas Oil Airshows along with the Lucas Oil Skydivers.  Other newcomers include aerobatic pilot Greg Connell in his Pitts Model 12 as well as Indy Boys Paul Stender and the jet school bus.

While on the ground spectators can get an up close and personal look at a variety of static display cars and aircraft including a WWII Douglas C-47 and Grumman TBM-3E Avenger.

Special guests will be on hand to speak with spectators and will include members of the legendary Tuskegee Airmen, as well as other servicemen from a variety of areas and service branches.

Gates open each day at 10:00 am, and the show runs until 5:00 pm. For more information including directions, tickets and parking information, please visit the show’s website.
