Here Is The #SpotLAX2022 Schedule

#SpotLAX2022 is less than a week away!  Here’s the schedule of events that we have planned. Returning this year are fan favorites such as Donuts On The Deck and our Saturday evening dinner at The Proud Bird. New this year is our first ever Friday afternoon gathering, on the roof of the new LAX Economy Parking Garage.

Friday, September 16

1:00pm-4:00pm: Join us on the roof of the new Economy Parking Garage to enjoy the view from this brand new LAX spotting location. Walk in, take the shuttle from the terminals (look for the pink signs), or pay for vehicle parking. The new garage is located at 6100 W 94th St, Los Angeles, CA, 90045.

8:00pm: H Hotel guests, grab your favorite takeout and join us on the rooftop for dinner. For many regular attendees, Benny’s Tacos has become a Friday evening favorite.

9:00pm: Enjoy some dessert on the H Hotel rooftop. We will have delicious churros provided by Hype Aviation!

Saturday, September 17

8:30am: The Aviation Council convenes on the H Hotel rooftop to discuss all things aviation with frequent breaks for airplane photos.

11:00am: Cranky Dorkfest at the park by In-N-Out Burger on Sepulveda Blvd. Spend some time watching planes and talking shop. There will also be a raffle with a wide variety of prizes.

2:00pm: Afternoon spotting at the location of your choice! Some of you may return to the H Hotel rooftop for the afternoon. Others may go to The Proud Bird’s patio, for a post-Dorkfest gathering. And of course there’s always Imperial Hill/Clutter’s Park on the south side of the airport.

6:00pm-8:00pm: Join us for dinner at The Proud Bird. We’re excited to once again be able to host our annual dinner event at this fan-favorite location! Grab your choice of food from the food hall and join the group. We’re hopeful that we’ll be able to utilize their patio as our meeting place, stay tuned. And of course we’ll have our own raffle, an annual tradition. Please be aware that The Proud Bird currently closes at 8:00pm.

Sunday, September 18

9:00am: For H Hotel guests, we’ll be having Donuts On The Deck, sponsored by JetTip.net. There will be coffee and donuts from the world famous Randy’s Donuts for all to enjoy.

Safe travels to Los Angeles and we will see you this weekend!
