Corsair on Tuesday took delivery of its first Airbus A330-300 jet.

The French tour carrier, owned by TUI Travel, ordered two of the larger A330s in December 2010. Its fleet of nine aircraft also includes two Airbus A330-200 and five Boeing 747-400 jets.

“TUI Travel is pleased to be acquiring the A330-300 aircraft which, particularly with its recently enhanced capability, is clearly the ideal aircraft type to be introduced to the Corsair fleet to complement the existing A330-200 operations,” said Tom Chandler, Director of Aircraft Acquisition and Finance at TUI Travel, in a statement. “Airbus has worked closely with Corsair and TUI Travel management to ensure the success of this renewal of the Corsair fleet and has been proactive in recognising and addressing our requirements and developing the business relationship.”

The new aircraft, registered F-HSKY, will operate on routes out of Corsair’s Paris-Orly hub to the airline’s destinations in Europe, the Caribbean, Africa and North America.
