Korean Air has announced an order for five new Airbus A330-200s along with two additional Boeing 777-300ERs, with a total value of $1.58 billion at list prices.
Korean Air currently has 23 A330-200s, the most recent delivered in March, and operates 10 777-300s. The new deliveries, set to occur between 2013 and 2015, will give the Seoul-based carrier a total of 12 777-300s and 30 A330-200s.
Korean’s 777-300s seat between 291 and 342 passengers in a three class configuration, while the A330-200s seat 226 passengers in a three class configuration.
