No one was injured when a small cargo plane landed without its landing gear at Boeing Field Thursday night, forcing the closure of the airport’s main runway.
The Ameriflight Fairchild SA227-AC Metro III (N671AV) skidded to a stop on the runway at around 6:30 pm, where fire department vehicles covered the dual engined prop with foam.
The cause of the landing gear malfunction was not immediately clear.
