A Cold War-era British fighter jet crashed into the Hudson River near Kingston, NY Saturday afternoon, according to an AP report. Rescuers found the plane partially submerged with the pilot unaccounted for.

The BAC 167 Strikemaster (N167SM) splashed down into an ice-covered portion of the river, near the Kingston-Rhinecliff Bridge, after performing a low-pass at Kingston-Ulster Airport. It had taken off from John Murtha Johnstown-Cambria County Airport in Pennsylvania. It was owned by Dragon Aviation, a Delaware-based company that performs in air shows across the country.
