American Eagle on Monday announced that it will soon provide a new daily nonstop service between Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas and Joplin, Missouri.
The new service is set to begin on February 10 and will connect Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport and Joplin Regional Airport. The service will be provided via a 64-seat ATR aircraft.
“We’re delighted to introduce new service to Joplin,” said Gary Foss, Vice President of Planning and Marketing for American’s regional network. “These two daily flights will not only allow business travelers from Joplin to make an easy day trip to Dallas/Fort Worth, but will link Southwest Missouri with American’s largest hub and international gateway.”
The airline said its new daily route will benefit Joplin by providing connections needed to attract businesses, to develop new opportunities and in consequence offer higher quality of life to Joplin’s residents.
“This partnership with American delivers this request, and offers our customers access to one of the largest airlines with service to markets worldwide,” said Steve Stockam, Joplin Airport Manager. “This is a great beginning to what we believe will be the resurgence of our commercial airline service for the Joplin market area and the economy for Southwest Missouri.”
American Eagle operates over 1,500 daily flights to nearly 160 cities throughout the United States, Canada, the Bahamas, Mexico and the Caribbean on behalf of American Airlines.
