In what may be a car chase unlike any before, a car crashed through the fence of a Texas airport on Thursday and drove onto the runway.
The chase began around 2.30 p.m. local time at Spring Valley and Montford in Dallas after the suspect allegedly stole a truck during a carjacking. It continued nearly an hour as a slow car chase, until he approached Dallas Love Field Airport.
The truck crashed through a fence at the airport and continued onto the runway of the airport, forcing the airport to shut down its operations.
Police officers then decided to take action, and forced the suspect to stop. Officers with their guns drawn then took him into custody.
