Air Europa to Start Miami-Madrid Service

Air Europa, one of the fastest growing European airlines, has announced that it will begin flying between Madrid and Miami on March 19th. The flights will be operated on Airbus A330-200 equipment with 275 coach passengers and 24 Club Business passengers.  The daily service, departing Miami at 9:50pm and arriving in Madrid at 12:10pm, will offer connections to a number of the important European capital cities as well as 20 cities in Spain.

Based at Palma de Mallorca Airport in Spain, Air Europa was started in 1986 flying charters with a single Boeing 737-300. The fleet currently consists of 43 aircraft including Airbus A330’s, Boeing 737-800’s, Boeing 767-300’s and Embraer 190’s.  It has orders for 48 more aircraft including the Boeing 787-800.

CORRECTION An earlier version of this story mistakenly stated that Air Europa will be the only international SkyTeam airline to serve Miami. They are actually the only SkyTeam member with direct service to Madrid. We regret the error.

"Air Europa is a SkyTeam member and the only international SkyTeam partner to fly into Miami." Huh? What about Air France, AeroMexico and Alitalia?

    • Thanks for the heads-up. Air Europa is actually the only SkyTeam partner flying to Madrid, not Miami.

It’s funny to find out how many blogs the internet has on this subject! I don’t know if I will ever need to come back here, but it is awesome to know I found the one that offers a lot of practical info if this ever comes up for me another time.
