    Damaged 24-70L

During the 748F taxi tests I was making my way up some stairs, and I heard a clunk, clunk, clunk, CRACK. I turned around to see my Canon 24-70L spinning wildly at the bottom of a full set of stairs. It fell out of my camera bag. Nothing was cracked and no elements shattered, but there are several dents and the focal ring is quite stiff now. I tried it out on a few runs and wasn't the shots didn't seem as "on target" as they normally do. Then again, the 24-70 was never a spotting lens. I dunno. Should I send it in to get checked up?

Definitely. If you have a warranty or insurance, don't take chances and cash it in.
