    Grad Sues College for $70,000 Because She Can't Find a Job

    Trina Thompson gave it the old college try, but couldn't find work. Now she thinks her sheepskin wasn't worth her time, and is suing her alma mater for her money back.

    The Monroe College grad wants the $70,000 she spent on tuition because she hasn't found gainful employment since earning her bachelor's degree in April, according to a suit filed in Bronx Supreme Court on July 24.

    The 27-year-old alleges the business-oriented Bronx school hasn't lived up to its end of the bargain, and has not done enough to find her a job.

    The information-technology student blames Monroe's Office of Career Advancement for not providing her with the leads and career advice it promised.

    "They have not tried hard enough to help me," the frustrated Bronx resident wrote about the school in her lawsuit.

    This is 90% of whats wrong with America right here. Everyone has the attitude "what can you do for me?".What ever happened to "what can I do for myself?" What makes this girl soo special that we should even waste tax money with this in court? Welcome to the world. There are a few hundred thousand of us with college degrees who cant find a decent job right now. Too bad you wont have your Jag in a year lady. Mc Donalds is in fact hiring.

    And so, my fellow Americans: ask not what your country can do for you - ask what you can do for your country.

    What ever happened to that.... People just want everything handed to them today.

    This story keeps getting better.

    * She swung a stellar 2.7 GPA in her Monroe career but had "good attendance."
    * Full time tuition is currently $5400 per semester. Considering it was probably lower when she started, a normal four year program should have cost her around $40,000. It is not clear how her total added up to 75% more...either she went for three extra years or she took out some ridiculously high interest loans.
    * She only graduated in April, a whole three months of job searching... wow.
    * The kicker...
    "They favor more toward students that got a 4.0. They help them more out with the job placement," she said.
    NO WAY! C students don't get the same attention as A students? Someone call the reality police!
