Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. We have a small problem.
All four engines have stopped. We are doing our damnedest to get them under control.
I trust you are not in too much distress. —Captain Eric Moody, British Airways Flight 9
Nice shot. What's that plane rotating on rwy 4?
Email me anytime at [email protected].
Thanks for posting, Great Shot! One of the few advantages of wearing Spectacles of a fairly strong prescription is they can be used as a magnifying glass when needed. Because of this extra assistance I am about 90 pct sure the aircraft rotating on 4 is a TWA DC-9-14.
Cheers

Not to depress anyone, but some of what you don't see in this picture are....
Mohawk Fh-227
Mohawk B111
Allegheny Convair 580
Eastern Electras
and probably an occasional DC-6
among others.
The irony is I used to watch this stuff and comment how boring it was and wished I could see a Continental 727 (Gold Tail), Western 737, Southwest 737, Airwest DC-9,etc.
Just goes to show you, be careful what you wish for when you say "Oh no, not another 747"
