    LGA 10/10(Lotta shots)

Yesterday I headed to Soundview from early in the morning to till early afternoon to get the rwy 4 departures.. I even saw to DL MD88 go arounds. The upsetting news is that I could not wait any longer to catch the Midwest E170 since I had to leave to pick up the kids from school.. Here are the shots

Lots of cool traffic there Sergio, I saw most of them takeoff from our Tower as I was working a double. The pretty Dash 8 belongs to the Dept of Justice, probably seen it 4 or 5 times at LGA in the last 2 years or so.

The first DL MD88 go-around was a pretty big deal. He had an unsafe gear indication and in your shots was doing a gear down check fly-by of the Tower. Came back to land about 15 mins later with the main gear doors down, something I have never seen before. They drugg on the runway and watched the roll-out with binaculars but never saw sparks. They did a dead-stop on Runway 31 between the end of the runway and the intersection with 4-22. This closed 13-31 for about 15-20 mins and the MD-88 was surrounded by emergency and Port Ops vehicles. After about 10-15 mins the gear doors where retracted and she taxied to the gate under her own power. Probably the most excitement we have seen here in a while.

The second DL MD-88 go-around only about 5-10 mins later was for traffic departing 4, nice shot of the two aircraft fairly close together,

    Regards

Here's the Allegiant that came in.

And here is Mr. Alfano's arrival home. First window is him.

LOLOL That's AWESOME Phil! Thanks a million! Yes that is my big head looking out the window. I was trying to see Phil but we didn't bank over the marina so it just wasn't possible to see at that angle. In retrospect I shouldn't have sat at that row. I've been videoing take off and landings but since the FA sits right across from you in that seat you can't...boo. Quality of those shots are fantastic Phil!

btw the name of this F9 plane is "Lobo the Gray Wolf" I also flew on "Hank the Bobcat." Service is very good on F9.

sergio nice shots... that was a day for go-arounds. we had a total of about 8 on the night shift alone. that DAL MD-80 emergency caused some havoc for a few min but was interesting to watch. glad it all worked out.
it is mathematically impossible for either hummingbirds, or helicopters to fly. fortunately, neither are aware of this.

Sergio the Allegiant came in around 1600-1630 in GREAT light, as you can see from Mr. Derner's GREAT shot.

Tommy I saw you land but did not realize you where onboard. Glad you got to fly someone different for a change !
